A leep gynecology procedure is performed for removing condyloma, genital wart, treating cervical dysplasia, etc.
During the procedure, a wire loop with electrical energy flowing through it is used to remove the abnormal cells. Loop excision is used to treat abnormal cervical tissues after a Pap smear test has shown abnormalities on the surface of the cervix.
