Dysplasia Leep
A cervical dysplasia leep operation is performed, if the patient has abnormal vaginal discharge, abnormal Pap smear or a genital wart.
It may also be used to make sure no cancer cells are present on the cervix. This treatment is usually done after a colposcopy, which confirms that abnormal cervical lesions are for sure present. A common treatment for dysplastic cells on the cervix is the loop electrosurgical excision procedure.
