Conization Leep
The conization leep procedures are performed for disorders xaused by human papillomavirus, such as genital wart, cervical dysplasia and others.
The tissue extracted is then examined in a lab to make sure all the dysplasia was removed and for any cancer cells. The areas of dysplastic cells are removed from the cervix during these procedures. Cone biopsies and loop electrosurgical excision procedures are common treatment for cervical dysplasia in women.
